Started in earnest on editing my next novel for publishing. The first chapter is always the hardest for me. It is a combination of getting started and worrying about how much to change or how much to keep. At least my wife will keep my fingers on the keys when needed. She can be brutal but she reads so much more than I do I cannot think of a better person for the job. Contrary to popular thought editing is not about making the writing better but making it more efficient. The goal is to let the story out. So far it is going all to plan and right on schedule.
